Upload a photo of your plate: in about 15-25 seconds you see its calories, protein, carbs and fat. No signup.
This is just the start
You take a photo
Of the whole plate, from above, in decent light. No need to separate ingredients or arrange anything: the plate as you are about to eat it works fine.
The AI identifies and estimates
It recognises the foods, estimates how much of each is there, and works out calories, protein, carbs and fat. It usually takes about 15 seconds.
You get the breakdown
The plate score (1 to 10), calories, protein, carbs and fat, and each food with its kcal. That is where the demo ends: nothing is saved and no account is needed.
The hard part is not recognising that there is rice: it is knowing how much rice. Portion size is estimated from the photo, and that is where much of the error lives, in ours too. A thick sauce, a deep bowl or a steep camera angle all make the estimate worse. That is why we publish our average error instead of promising perfect accuracy, and why you can correct the amount by hand when you know what you weighed.
See our average error, kept up to dateNo. This demo works with no account, no email and no card. You upload a photo and see the result. The one thing it does not do is save it: for history, streaks and a daily target you do need an account.
The demo allows two photos every 24 hours from the same connection (plus a daily cap for everyone). Each analysis has a real AI cost and we would rather say so than fund it with ads. Inside the app the cap is 60 photos a day.
Yes, and that is exactly where catalogue apps stall. Because it starts from the photo rather than a product list, it does not depend on the dish existing in a database: your mother’s stew gets estimated the same way a tin does.
It is sent to an AI model (today, Claude, from Anthropic) to be analysed, and the demo does not keep it: nothing is written to our database. What the app keeps once you have an account, for how long and why is set out in the privacy policy.
Yes: this page is a sample of the Renzy app. In the app you do the same with up to 60 photos a day, and what you eat is saved so you can see your day and your week. It has a 7-day trial; after that it is paid.
In the app every meal is saved, your history builds up, and you get a daily target calculated from your own data. 7-day trial with a card.
